Tracy,

In fact, the blog category will be the default category that all your blogs are posted in (somewhat like the default uncategorized category with WordPress). However, this does not exclude including other categories and subcategories for posts as well. You may consider hiding the "blog" category from your category list in the sidebar or wherever you have this info. In order to hide(or exclude) a category or create customized lists of categories in your sidebar check out the tutorial I have in bavawiki here.

Hope this helps.

Hello!

I've been reading about this plugin and it seems like what I'm looking for except for one issue where it states
"2. Create a category called ‘Blog’, make it the default category, and put every post in it"

We have many catagories and sub-catagories ... is there any specific action I need to take tp preserve the catagofy hierarchy?

Good info and thanks!

Hi. I noticed an access to my blog from your site in the logs and came snoopin'.

This sounds like a possible solution that we could use on our English e-Learning site at the university where I work. I've been working on my own (kludgy!) solution to the problem of allowing faculty to create and update their own content.

Thanks for the info!
