This is awesome, found it via Dan Coleman’s Open Culture blog, and it is just amazing how insane people can be (if it isn’t a fake, but I tend to agree with Dan that this is the real deal). Sometimes I love humanity, and the minute and half video below is why. Despite the bill of goods the Age of Enlightenment sold us, reason has no place in the greatest of human genius! And what was that Adam Smith said about self interest?

That is awesome, I have yet to see them, but I think if the shark is real, he’s a look. He should even MC the event
@Tom:
On watching it a few more times you may be right, the cuts are pretty suspicious, and the fin looks far too big, it looks a lot like Jaws. However, I really want it to be true, so maybe that is why I want to suspend all disbelief.
Not to mention the fact that the fin doesn’t really tilt at times, or get lower or higher in the water.
But still neat. And obviously well-edited.
I agree, it;s a fake. I wanted to believe, and as Serena notes, the editing was just good enough to fool my on the first run through. Damn shark surfing propaganda films!
