MistyLook Theme for MediaWiki Toolbar Fix

This can be filed under obscure hacks. For those of you out there who are using the MistyLook theme for MediaWiki and haven’t been able to get the editing toolbar to show up in the later versions of MediaWiki, then this hack is for you.

I found this fix thanks to Hal’s comment on Jason Pearce’s blog.

Find the following code in the MistyLook.php file

MediaWiki Toolbar Fix

That’s it, it should work. How easy!

    Thanks for posting this. I’m less than a PHP novice and have been tearing my hair out looking for differences between mistylook.php and monobook.php hoping to find why the toolbar was gone when it appears in the produced html code. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    Ok I changed the line but now i got: Fatal error: Call to undefined method Skin::makeGlobalVariablesScript() in /home/content/56/6796056/html/edm4510/skins/MistyLook.php on line 152

    You should find the info for changing the Sidebar (as it is referred to in mediaWiki) given this info page here:
