No longer banned from DC: WordCamp Ed 2008

Well, after some grovelling to my special lady friend and some unveiled threats from the Bionic Teacher, I decided it might be in the interest of my personal health to attend WordCamp Ed DC, which David Lester has brilliantly conceived and organized (kudos). Such an event holds some powerful possibilities for the educational community using WordPress, and it may very well be the shot heard around the world from a growing red tide of EDUPUNK revolutionaries. I’m fired up to think and share with so many fellow travellers.

Update: Maybe a little Bad Brains at CBGBs circa 1982 is in order, no?

    Aaarrrgh! I am jealous, cannot be there, DC is a long way from the “Old World” šŸ™‚
    Please keep us posted on whats happening there. My authorities over here still think that WordPress as an edu-platform would not even be worth a look. Instead, of course your guess is right, they are (again) purchasing a LMS/CMS for thousands of bucks. Why do those folks spend the money for things they dont have a clue about?

    I need Black Flag now: “Jealous again” šŸ˜€

    About time.

    Glad I don’t have to resort to more drastic measures.

  3. Wow! Well done!

    P.S. How’s the insulation in your new dog house?

    @PMJ:

    Hhahah, unfortunately WordCamp Ed comes in late November, so me and Miles have to go to Home Depot today to reinforce it a bit, it may be chilly prove chilly šŸ˜‰
