Domain SEO Service Registration Corp. is a Domain Scammer!

While I’m on the topic of domain scams on the bava, I got another good example of how these human cockroaches work. Below is a copy and paste of one of two emails I received via email last week from the scam artists at Domain SEO Service Registration Corp. The other one I got was identical, it was targeting the ds106.us domain rather than . At first glance the email below reads like an expiration notice for the domain. I know this is a scam because I control the vertical and horizontal of this domain through Reclaim Hosting. Another hint for me here is the date is all wrong, I registered bavatuesdays for the first time on October 12th, 2005, I remember the day well. Reading the email I also notice they’re using the public whois data provided by ICANN because I used UMW’s street address as a way of deflecting any personal info from being out there—a cheaper ID protect option 🙂

This notice is interesting because it provides all the fear and loathing warnings of “expiration,” “act immediately,” “cancellation,” etc. And someone who might not be familiar with these scams might actually think their domain is at risk. It isn’t, because these scammers are actually using the front of selling search engine optimization (SEO) software as a way to lure folks in and pretending they are legitimate. They are scum sucking cowards, spamming folks with intentionally confusing and ambiguous emails intended to scare and confuse folks enough to make them click and pay. It’s a thinly veiled attempt to mask a phishing scam. But if you know how to read it you realize fairly quickly they actually pretending to sell you something you need. They pretend they actually care, but you can be sure that is not the case! Don’t get lured in by there intentionally ambivalent rhetoric—just say NO to their lies!

Out of curiosity I clicked on the payment link to see where it leads me. I was taken to this page asking me to pony up $64 for a 1 year term of their software. The “1 year term” is a nice touch here because that’s the common term for domains, and notice they don’t ask for any personal info at all, just your credit card.

Screenshot 2016-05-21 17.28.51I’m not sure how folks who go around exploiting others like this live with themselves, but I’m realizing more and more that all we can do is call out the bullshit so hopefully others will realize it all a scam and get wizened to some of the darker corners of the web.

  1. Well, I get emails like that all the time but they are not ones or ds106.us ones but they have MY name and MY websites plus MY email and they are spam ones, too.

You have to get up yesterday if you want to fool UNCLE @jimgroom or @timmmmyboy and you can’t even ever fool me, @iamTalkyTina.

Plus, if you have all your websites in the same registrar plus hosting company, they you know all the other renewal ones are just bogus.

Well, see you later UNCLE Jim.

Turds, rat turds are these flim flammers. If you read it very close, it’s not your domain they say is expiring it is the offer for their seo shlock. And the are not offering domain registration it is “domain name registration search engine optimization service”

So technically, in a rats ass hair legal sense they are not doing any thing wrong. But on a morality scale I say cover them in meat juice and chum them to the sharks. How proud they must be of their accomplishments in the world. What a waste of perfectly good carbon cells.

  3. Luis M says:

If you read closely it says:

We do not register or renew domain names. We are selling traffic generator software tools.

And they are still at it in 2017. Noticed several of these landing in my inbox in the past month. They really are scum of the highest order. Amazed they haven’t been closed down or at least had their lives made much more difficult by now.

  5. Joe Vitovec says:

I almost fell for it just now and fortunately, Citibank double-checked before authorizing my payment, and in the information provided by Citibank in the recipient information the final payment destination turned out to be China. I immediately canceled and the bank changed the account. It was very believably done except that the dates didn’t match, so when the bank refused, I double checked the dates and it became obvious that it was not on the level.

    • Reverend says:

      Joe,
Lucky your bank was on it, this is a such a scam. Thanks for sharing your experience here! The more people can quickly search and hear this is a scam, the better.

  6. C Berry says:

I get these also. I knew first time because I don’t “send” in my payment. Latest one was today….asked for $86 for a year.

    • Reverend says:

They are such scum! Glad you were not scammed, it is really a shame there is no organization that can shut such shady businesses down.

  7. Ian says:

Yes, I was taken for the $86 US (109 AU) scam deal with SEO. But after confirming my dumb transaction, I thought I would check to see if they had a legit web site and all I got was the same thing that showed up via the email message.
So I immediately rang my Bank and had my card cancelled, and will be going into to my Bank tomorrow to get them to file a claim for me.
I was “took” with their jargon…just like the bloke says above.

Well, my trust is in God who is greater than all. I’m very glad I can cast my cares on His shoulders. He knows who is for real or not…I’m still learning

  8. D.S. says:

This surprised me for a minute but didn’t fool me since I knew I had the domain paid up. the thing that almost fooled me was they had my name from the registrar info.
    And…
They take your money and don’t get arrested for tricking you by lying to you? This is fraud and them telling me my domain is expiring and them getting to keep the money that doesn’t pay for anything, since the domain is fine until 2019; is definitely criminal!

  9. I have just been scammed by Domain SEO Service Registration Corp for $122.35 supp0sedly for my Weebly Domain name. I had two emails saying if I didn’t pay immediately my website would be deactivated. I contacted Weebly and it wasn’t from them, but this email had “Weebly” as the name that it was supposed to be from. I have contacted my bank but because I authorised the payment, I may not be able to get it back. Have tried to contact this site but you can’t get on to them. It’s easy to get sucked in when you don’t check all the facts. Just wanted to let you know out there to beware.

I got a message like this just now so I google it are they just scammers
