The Grey Video

In 2004 DJ Danger Mouse’s re-mixed Jay-Z’s The Black Album and The Beatle’s The White Album to create The Grey Album. Looks like we now have The Grey Video which furthers this mash-up by mixing up A Hard Day’s Night and footage of Jay-Z performing.

Hip-hop is the mash-up, and the mash-up is hip-hop.

That was freaking awesome. Gotta love the mash-up!
Reminds me of a time a few years ago when I was driving along listening to some hip-hop song on the radio when I got some interference from some doowop station and I thought they actually went really well together.
    Thanks for sharing this.

Actually the video is from the movie “A Hard Days Night”, but the songs are “Glass Onion” and “Savoy Truffle” from the “White Album”. I can’t say this really does anything for me, other than desire to hear the original songs šŸ˜‰

The clip of Ringo reaching over to place the LP on the turntable is priceless and deserves repeated sampling. Nice one!

  4. awesome. of course, The Beatles Danger Mouse would have cause the entire audience to stroke out back in the 60’s. They were already going nuts for the really tame show by the lads.

and I agree with Scott – Ringo spinning vinyl with a big grin. priceless.
