Do the hustle: the pinnacle of instructional videos

This epitomizes everything an instructional training video should be: kinetic, flared, and headless. Rumor has it that Marky Mark spent countless hours watching this video while preparing for Boogie Nights. And now, for the low, low price of free you can too! Enjoy.

Weird, me and my friend found this video a few months ago because we always talked about wanting to learn to do the hustle. Now we are dancing fools!

    Shannon,

The internets are very powerful, indeed. Not just your regular old dance party!

  3. Rick Swerve says:

    Good Christ!
Did people actually do this in groups on dance floors?

These “Hustlers” must have grown up and been responsible for Country line dancing. Who else could have listened and danced to Billy Ray Cyrus’ achy, breaky heart?

  4. jimgroom says:

    Rick,

The Hustle is a dance of Brooklyn libido, not to be confused with an Okie line dance. This is a fine distinction that needs to be made. Tony Manero is a figure of class struggle, ethnic pride, and unfettered homoeroticism -how can we mistake this for a bunch of hicks lining up for a hay-hauling social?

  5. Barbara says:

…headless, kinetic, flared…amd waaaaaaay tooooo long. (aren’t they all?)

Thank you for brightening my day!

In answer to Rick, yes indeed people really did do this in groups on the dance floor. You had to be careful to get it right though. I was kidney punched by someone on the dancefloor at a school dance in 1978 for turning in the wrong direction during the hustle. Good times šŸ™
